Founder, Well Woman | Educator. Healer. Advocate.
Dr. Sonja Allen is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, author, and educator with over two decades of experience in clinical care, higher education, and community advocacy. As the founder of Well Woman, she’s on a mission to help Black women be Whole, Educated, Liberated, and Limitless—through sacred rest, bold healing, and unapologetic authenticity.
She created the Well Woman reTREAT as a sacred pause—a space where Black women can rest, reflect, and revive without apology. Held annually in New Orleans, the retreat is part celebration, part soul work: a curated experience where healing meets joy, boundaries are honored, and women are reminded that their wholeness is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.
Nicci, a head-to-toe stylist, is dedicated to helping women discover their unique "pretty." She holds the conviction that looking good is intricately linked to feeling good. Her passion lies in empowering, building up, and inspiring women to embrace all that God has destined them to be. Beyond the realm of styling, Nicci extends her talents to ministering to her clients, leading small groups, authoring books and blogs, coaching on living with purpose, and playing a pivotal leadership role in her church community.
